Stewart David Ikeda is descended from families who, somewhere down the line, started elsewhere -- in Europe and Asia.  His works have demonstrated a particular and lasting commitment to exploring the benefits and confronting the challenges of American diversity and our multicultural constitution.

Applying these interests to a variety of professional and creative ends.  As Vice President for IMDiversity, Inc., he provided executive leadership in creating one of the country's most respected diversity recruitment e-businesses and online multicultural community networks at IMDiversity.com, twice named "Best Equal Opportunity Site" by Yahoo! Internet Life Magazine.  He has been invited to lecture, teach, conduct workshops, and consult to businesses on topics ranging from diversity recruitment and retention to niche marketing, from ethnic media publishing to multicultural education, from civil liberties to the Asian-American arts, cultures, and politics.  In education, he has taught college courses in ethnic studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Boston College, contributed to multicultural training events and publications for teachers, and led seminars and published widely on diversity-related topics.
