Stewart
David Ikeda is descended from families who,
somewhere down the line, started elsewhere -- in Europe and Asia. This has imbued
him with a particular and lasting interest in and commitment to exploring the benefits and
confronting the challenges of American diversity and our multicultural constitution.
Applying these interests to a variety of professional and
creative ends, he has been invited to lecture, teach, conduct workshops, and consult to
businesses on topics ranging from diversity recruitment and retention to niche marketing,
from ethnic media publishing to multicultural education, from civil liberties to the
Asian-American arts, cultures, and politics. He has taught college courses in ethnic
studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Boston College, led seminars and
published widely on diversity-related topics, and took a lead role in creating one of the
country's most respected diversity recruitment e-businesses and online multicultural
communities at IMDiversity.com, twice named "Best Equal Opportunity Site" by
Yahoo!
Internet Life Magazine.
In this section you can learn more about Ikeda's work in
these areas; review some of his feature
writing for the Multicultural Villages Online and other publications;

detailing the immigration, internment, and reconciliation of a Japanese-American family
from the 1800s to WWII to the present; and find related articles, resource links, or even

Center powered by IMDiversity.com.
